Giant Sequoias

FIFTY PERCENT of the world's Sequoias, the largest trees on Earth, reside in Giant Sequoias National Monument. However, these sequoia groves and other forests in Giant Sequoia National Monument are being illegally and destructively logged by the U.S. Forest Service.

See pictures and read information showing the destruction in the Giant Sequoia National Monument, and what we are doing to save our sequoia forests. Large PDF File - Be Patient while it loads.

The Act to Save America's Forests

Read about the Act to Save America's Forests, the largest, comprehensive nationwide forest protection and restoration legislation in history, based on the science of Conservation Biology. The Act would stop logging in America's own threatened rainforests in the Pacific Northwest, where the endangered spotted owl lives. It would stop clearcutting throughout our entire national forest system. It would protect all our last remaining Ancient Forests, old growth, roadless forests and "special" forests, and would protect and restore the native biodiversity in our national forests. Help save the U.S rainforest. Help save forests and endangered species. Learn more and Act!
