Dear Representative [Senator] Doe,

Please become a cosponsor of The Act to Save America's Forests, sponsored by Representative Anna Eshoo and Senator Robert Torricelli. In the 106th Congress, the Act was cosponsored by 134 Representatives and 5 Senators. The U.S. Forest Service and private timber corporations are continuing to log our nation's last Ancient Forests and wild roadless forests. This is truly a crime against nature and must stop immediately. I am also against clearcutting throughout our federal forestlands carried out by the Forest Service. The Act to Save America's Forests would end tax-subsidized forest destruction on our National Forests, Wildlife Refuges, and Bureau of Land Management Lands.

Furthermore, This bill would help save money by eliminating costly roadbuilding in dwindling federal roadless areas. It would mandate that all federal forestlands be restored to their original native biodiversity. The bill would end all logging in our last Ancient Forests, wild roadless forests, streamside forests and Watershed areas, and millions of acres of ecologically important Special Areas in National Forests around the country.

Please cosponsor The Act to Save America's Forests. I am looking forward to hearing your response. If your response is negative, then please tell me why.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Your constituent,

JO JO ANDERSON
