Please become a cosponsor of The Act to Save America's Forests, sponsored by Representative Anna Eshoo and Senator Robert Torricelli. I am against clearcutting on our federal forestlands. This legislation would end tax-subsidized forest destruction on National Forests, Wildlife Refuges, and Bureau of Land Management Lands. Furthermore, This bill would help save money by eliminating costly roadbuilding in dwindling federal roadless areas. It would mandate that all federal forestlands be restored to their original native biodiversity. The bill would also protect from logging the last Ancient Forests, Watershed Areas, and Special Areas in National Forests around the country .
